Our Story

A Legacy of Giving Back

The Schuh Family Foundation was established in 1987 by Richard and Margaret Schuh, first-generation immigrants who built a successful manufacturing business in the Midwest. Having experienced both hardship and opportunity in America, they were driven by a deep conviction that prosperity carries responsibility.

What began as local scholarships for underprivileged students has grown into a comprehensive philanthropic organization supporting education, healthcare, and community development across twelve states. Today, the foundation is led by the second generation of the Schuh family, who continue to honor their parents' vision while adapting to meet 21st-century challenges.

Our mission remains unchanged: to create pathways to opportunity for those who need them most, believing that every person deserves the chance to reach their full potential.
